An SIS network model with flow driven infection rates

چکیده
A flow-regulated infection rate is defined for a Susceptible-Infected-Susceptible (SIS) model revealing the network structural properties that influence spread of infections. The linked to flow between compartments in associated positive compartmental system, providing self-regulatory effect on spreading dynamics. This translates carriers preferring visit healthier sites over more infected ones. flow-independent epidemic threshold sets conditions graph’s structure and aggregate disease either or die out. An individual-based mean-field approach returns results comparable models with constant rates. lends itself well infectious diseases as threats IT networks, pharmacokinetics disruptions infrastructure networks.

SIS Epidemic Spreading with Correlated Heterogeneous Infection Rates
The epidemic spreading has been widely studied in homogeneous cases, where each node may get infected by an infected neighbor with the same rate. However, the infection rate between a pair of nodes, which may depend on e.g. their interaction frequency, is usually heterogeneous and even correlated with their nodal degrees in the contact network. In this paper, we aim to understand how such corre...
متن کاملRevisiting a two-patch SIS model with infection during transport.
We incorporate parameter heterogeneity in a two-patch susceptible-infectious-susceptible (SIS) epidemic model with infection during transport and prove that the disease-free and endemic equilibria are globally asymptotically stable when the basic reproduction number [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text], respectively. We find that infection during transport increases the possibility that ...
متن کاملStability and Bifurcation of an SIS Epidemic Model with Saturated Incidence Rate and Treatment Function
In this paper an SIS epidemic model with saturated incidence rate and treatment func- tion is proposed and studied. The existence of all feasible equilibrium points is discussed. The local stability conditions of the disease free equilibrium point and endemic equilibrium point are established with the help of basic reproduction number. However the global stabili- ty conditions of these eq...
متن کاملThe Minimum Universal Cost Flow in an Infeasible Flow Network
In this paper the concept of the Minimum Universal Cost Flow (MUCF) for an infeasible flow network is introduced. A new mathematical model in which the objective function includes the total costs of changing arc capacities and sending flow is built and analyzed. A polynomial time algorithm is presented to find the MUCF.
متن کاملSmoothly varying hopping rates in driven flow with exclusion.
We consider the one-dimensional totally asymmetric simple exclusion process (TASEP) with position-dependent hopping rates. The problem is solved, in a mean-field adiabatic approximation, for a general (smooth) form of spatial rate variation. Numerical simulations of systems with hopping rates varying linearly against position (constant rate gradient), for both periodic and open-boundary conditi...
